The City of Lyon has been re-elected President of the Executive Committee of Délice (Networ of good food cities of the world) for 3 years, alongside the cities of Barcelona (Spain), Brussels (Belgium), Chicago (United States), Gothenburg (Sweden) and Helsinki (Finland).

This election took place at the 6th General Meeting of Délice held in Chicago from 25 to 29 September 2013. Some of the other high points of this annual get-together: decisions concerning the strategy and development of Délice, presentation of Chicago’s gastronomy-related projects, and working meetings on the topic of gastronomy festivals open to the general public.

The City of Chicago, a member of Délice since 2010, had elected to host the General Meeting at the same time as Chicago Gourmet, its annual gastronomy event, aiming to present to the general public the culinary offer of Illinois and attracting over 12,000 participants.

It is also in the context of Chicago Gourmet 2013 that 9 chefs from various cities in the network were invited to demonstrate their know-how at culinary demonstrations and tasting events in partnership with local chefs.
The City of Lyon was represented by chef Anthony Fusco from the restaurant La Table de Lachassagne: one Michelin star since February 2012 and the youngest Michelin-starred chef in the département of the Rhône.
