Well served and an attractive location
With a direct connection via the A46 to the entire highway network, the prime attraction of the proposed expansion of the Meyzieu-Jonage Industrial Zone is its accessibility:
- Lyon is 30 minutes away
- the Lyon-Saint Exupéry International Airport just 10 minutes away
- the site will be an ideal location on the Paris-Marseille road via the connection to the A432 (in the very short term)
- the bypass east of Meyzieu will provide a showcase for businesses
- public transit network:
- T3 tram (access to downtown Lyon in 30 minutes) and,
- as of 2011, the fast Leslys line will connect to Lyon in 20 minutes and Lyon-Saint Exupéry in 5 minutes
A diversified supply in the heart of a dynamic industrial network
The existing Meyzieu-Jonage industrial zone houses nearly 200 companies on nearly 200 hectares that generate more than 5,000 jobs.
Extending it over a total area of 137 hectares will allow it to accommodate a wide variety of industrial, scientific and service sector businesses.
The land is divided:
- into lots of 5,000 m2 to 15,000 m2, or
- into plots of several hectares.
Call for proposals to operators
In 2009, two operators will be chosen to create
- a business park on a holding of 6.6 hectares and
- a mixed-use business park on 6 hectares
Another proposal will focus on:
- creating a 5 hectares reception and service area for carriers.
Services to employees
- inter-company restaurant,
- health center,
- meeting room,
- and soon a day care center and other services...
A commitment undertaken for the environment
A landscaped environment of 15 hectares will host the technical facilities of the Industrial Park. It will provide an open-air link (pedestrians/cyclists) between the north and south of the Meyzieu-Jonage IZ and in the direction of the T3/Leslys station.
The SERL (developer of the site) and Greater Lyon are working together to defend a new business concept through sustainable design of buildings, particularly by encouraging the use of natural resources and reducing energy consumption.
