Lyon Vaise digital center: commercial launch of Rives Numériques, the software business incubator in the Rhône-Alpes region
5 June 2012
The digital ecosystem in Lyon is expanding! Scheduled to open in June 2012, Rives Numériques will be located at Lyon Vaise, in the heart of the region's Digital Valley, and will be the headquarters for seventeen start-ups in seventeen offices with a surface area from fourteen to forty square meters.
Lyon Vaise: a landing field for the software industry
To promote the installation of digital companies in the territory, and in particular companies in the software industry, Greater Lyon supports tailored real-estate projects like the Vaise digital center in Lyon's 9th arrondissement. "We wanted to anchor the development of this sector geographically at Vaise and reinforce the cluster effect, as well as Lyon's international visibility in the digital sector," explains Karine Dognin-Sauze, Vice President of Greater Lyon in charge of innovation and new technologies.
With the addition of the Rives Numériques business incubator, the Lyon Vaise digital center acquires the status of a major player and innovator in the sector in the Rhône-Alpes region.
Rives Numériques: made-to-measure real estate
With a real estate offer of 383 m2 of offices and 104 m2 of shared areas, the new Rives Numériques business incubator initiated by Greater Lyon and backed by the Edit cluster is a support structure for young players in the software industry.
As a veritable catalyzer for the emergence, development and innovation of companies in the sector, it offers an ideal setting and a flexible workspace rental plan, along with a support framework and shared services:
- a structure for "plug and play" reception and accommodation;
- 17 offices measuring from fourteen to forty square meters, fully furnished and wired;
- shared areas with open access: a co-working area, fully equipped meeting rooms, relaxation area and kitchen;
- shared services: convergent telecom pack, photocopier;
- individual support for the company creator throughout the company development phase and support when leaving the business incubator.
Through affordable rates, Rives Numériques aims to attract start-ups and company creators in the software industry. "With a rental fee of 200 to 230 euros per workstation, our attractive rates are adapted to young companies", says Eric Echampard, the future manager of the digital incubator.
