11 June 2013
Lyon Gerland, an emblematic property transaction
In January 2013, Plastic Omnium - a leading European company in the transformation of plastics and owner of a site in Lyon Gerland - started the construction of an office building with a total area of 33,000 m2.
The pharmaceutical group Sanofi quickly positioned itself by signing, on 29 January 2013, a 12-year lease for two-thirds of the development, i.e. 18,500 m2. This transaction - one of the biggest in the first six months of 2013 - signals the intention to bring together the teams at Mérial and Sanofi Pasteur, hitherto based on different sites.
