Coinciding with the www2012 show, which was held from 16th to 20th April 2012 at the Lyon Convention Centre, the Greater Lyon Authority unveiled its new interactive facility: Lyon Web Community.

The modular map, developed by Asylum, allows one to visualise and contact all the web companies located in Lyon in just one click!

The 400 companies in the Web scattered around the region are split into categories according to size of workforce and business sector: from the web agency with just 12 employees to the software and applications designer who has 300 employees, they are all geolocated within the Lyon Web Community, next to clusters, training centres and property sites dedicated to the industry sector.

The Lyon Web Community is very intuitive and uses Google Earth technology so that users can enjoy a free and personalised navigational experience.

As a single entry point combined with an easy access via Internet, Lyon Web Community is all about encouraging contact between the stakeholders of the local Web community.

With this new facility, the Greater Lyon is underlining once more its support for the dynamic development of the Web and digital Community of the region.
