Major Account companies occupy an important position in the economic fabric and for Greater Lyon:
- they are the main employers and main tax contributors of the urban area, and also major users of Greater Lyon services
- water - sanitation;
- roads - parking– travel - urban transport;
- waste;
- sites accommodating economic activities
- etc.
- they provide structure for the economic sectors and decision-makers who have an impact on the local economic fabric. They also help to convey international influence and attractiveness for our region.

Greater Lyon is developing a special service for these companies with two aims:
- get to know their expectations and needs, and meet with these as efficiently and as quickly as possible,
- engage in a strategic dialogue with these companies and increase their involvement
- in the region and
- in the major development projects of the urban area
Expectations that are often highly operational
Expectations are often highly operational, such as:
- site accessibility, questions of transport and travel
- subjects related to industrial risks
- international education
- information on the professional tax (TPU) or how major development projects are progressing
- staff training and recruitment
- assistance with development projects
- land restructuring
- involvement in sustainable development
