Cités Unies France unites the French local authorities committed to decentralised cooperation. This network defends the continuity between the local policy and the international policy of the local authorities it represents in international networks, before the public authorities and within the European authorities. By organising groups of countries, this platform helps enliven, share and launch coordinated action. It also provides a precious link to the authorities, institutions in the countries and diplomatic posts.

Lyon's action in the international CUF network

Lyon is president of the Lebanon Country Group within the Cités Unies France network. In this context, it organises regular meetings between elected officials and technicians from Lebonese cities and French cities to offer joint responses via the concerted Lebanon programme. This programme puts in place technical cooperation and European workshops to support Lebanese mayors in the process of decentralisation.
