The purpose of the International Association of Francophone Mayors is to bring together the mayors and senior officials in the capitals and metropolises where French is widely spoken (official language, language of communication or widely used language), and to have the voice of local authorities heard by offering them an international husting.

Lyon's action in the international AIMF network

Lyon is a member of this network to support the French language and values on a territorial level. Lyon attended the Annual General Meeting and is a member of the association's network of experts.
