Lyon - Tinca (Romania) cooperation, key dates

In 2012, 60 Romani homes in one district of Tinca were connected to mains electricity.

At the same time, the first stone of a multi-functional centre was laid in Tinca. Supported and financed by Grand Lyon, this structure includes baths and showers with WCs and a laundry to promote the integration of the Romani by providing access to essential conditions of hygiene and cleanliness. Delivered in time for the start of the school year in 2013, the centre also houses a nursery, a room for "after-school school" and various rooms for information and assistance with regard to social and health formalities.

In June 2013, Lyon is taking part in the 4th Franco-Romanian conference on decentralised cooperation in Constanta, Romania.
