Lyon - Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) cooperation, key dates
Since 2005, Grand Lyon and its institutional partners have delegated experts for annual training sessions organised by PADDI - the training centre for urban planning roles intended for supervisors in the People's Committee, created in 2005 jointly with the Rhône-Alpes region. The areas of intervention cover waste management, real estate, heritage, social housing and transport.
Since 2011, Grand Lyon has promoted seminars for economic exchanges and organised economic delegations with the Chinese city, for the benefit of businesses in the agglomeration of Lyon.
The technical departments of the City of Lyon are involved in the lighting of the built heritage of Ho Chi Minh City: the museum in 1996, the city hall in 2004, the opera house in 2008 and the main post office in 2013.
